Learning Skills Admissions Requirements
There are a limited number of acceptances to the Learning Skills program each year and the program caters to minimal learning differences only. To be considered for Dunn School's Learning Skills Program applicants must submit a recent evaluation during the Admissions process. The evaluation should:
- Be completed within the last year preferably, but be no older than three years.
- Be administered by a psychologist, psychiatrist or other health care professional qualified to make a diagnosis.
- Include a WISC or WAIS (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children or Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale).
- Include an achievement battery such as the Woodcock Johnson or the Wechlser Individual Achievement Test.
- Include other validating measurements necessary to verify a learning difference.
- Include a list of all the accommodations that the student might need in high school and college.
- Contain a specific diagnosis of a learning disability or attention deficit disorder.
If you have any questions about the evaluation, please contact Alice Berg, Director of the Learning Skills Program at Dunn School.
