Middle School Application Process

We appreciate your interest in Dunn Middle School (DMS) and we look forward to working with you as you move through the application process. DMS seeks to enroll students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic and personal excellence. Criteria for admission decisions include: academic aptitude and achievement, transcripts, recommendations, student interests and character, family profile and interviews. DMS offers its students a well-rounded college preparatory curriculum that is challenging, fun, creative and rewarding.

Application Process

Step 1 – Learn about Dunn Middle School

Request a catalog and application from the Admissions office or download an application from our website.
Please call the Admissions office with any specific questions.

Step 2 – Visit the school

Call the Admissions office to arrange a date and time to tour the school. Wednesdays are tour days for the Middle School.

Step 3 – Submit Application

Applications are accepted between November 15 and March 15.
Submit all application materials: application form, 3 recommendations, student profile, most recent grade report, standardized test reports, $50 application fee, and application for financial aid (if applicable).

Step 4 – Take a Placement Test

Completed applications are required before testing.
Math and English placement tests will be administered 1/10/09 or 2/7/09.

Step 5 – Interview

Arrange an interview with the Director of Admissions.
If his/her application is accepted, the candidate will be invited to meet the Director of the Middle School and spend a day at Dunn Middle School.

Acceptances will be determined by April 1st
