Why is the library so important?

The age of information & technology can be distracting and overwhelming. To produce quality work in today's world, students must know how to choose the best sources, build effective searches, evaluate results, organize tasks, synthesize ideas, and stay focused on their academic goals.
This year, the Collins Library is increasing information literacy among students by teaching more library classes than ever. The library hosts an average of 20 classes per week, and hundreds of students use the library each day on campus and from home.
To attract more classes and more students, the library has three main goals. Achieving these goals requires financial support:
- Expand the print and online collections
- Teach the community to effectively use these resources by integrating classroom assignments, study skills, technology, and academic resources
- Provide individual service to students, faculty, and parents to improve their knowledge and use of the library
Please consider an Annual Fund donation to the Collins Library. Click here to donate online or visit our donations page to learn more about the library's wish list.
Thank you for investing in student achievement!
