Our Board of Trustees plays a pivotal role in guiding our vision and ensuring the continued excellence of our educational programs. Comprised of dedicated individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, our Trustees are committed to upholding the mission of Dunn School and fostering a nurturing environment where students thrive.

Our Trustees bring a wealth of experience and a shared passion for education, working collaboratively to support our mission of educating whole students to their fullest potential. Guy R. Walker '76, Board Chair

Karen Anderson, Vice Chair

Karen, parent of Dunn graduate Morgan (2022), is the General Counsel at Verifone, a leader in secure electronic payment solutions. With previous roles at Flextronics International and Intuit, she has extensive experience in intellectual property, commercial, and employment disputes. Karen holds degrees from Stanford Law School and Princeton University and resides in the Bay Area.

Stephane de Bord '90, Treasurer

Stephane earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from UC Santa Cruz and an MBA from Fordham University. His finance career began at JP Morgan Chase in NYC, followed by six years in Private Equity in San Francisco. Now focused on entrepreneurial projects in energy and transportation, Stephane also served over a decade on the French American and International School's board in San Francisco, including as Treasurer.

Autumn Badelt-Fanning '99 Governance Committee Chair

Dr. Autumn Badelt-Fanning, a Dunn School alumna, excels in the veterinary field. After earning her doctorate from Oregon State University, she founded and led a successful mobile veterinary service, later acquired nationally. Now Regional Operations Director at BetterVet, Autumn is sought after for her expertise and consults widely. She resides in California with her husband Steve and their four children.

Whitney Arnautou

Yong-Ling Beiman

Yong-Ling, a seasoned strategy management expert, co-founded two successful consulting firms in China, both acquired by major firms. She served as a partner at PwC Consulting (China/HK). Previously, she worked in business development for Wellington Management Company. Yong-Ling holds an MBA from Duke University, a BA from Salem College, and a DBA from a Sino-American program in China.

Stephen Dini '89

Steve has dedicated over 30 years to enhancing educational communities. Currently Director of Advancement at San Francisco's French American and International School, he oversees development for a PK-12 independent school. Previously at UC Berkeley and the University of San Francisco, Steve's career spans alumni relations, fundraising, and coaching lacrosse. He holds a bachelor's from California State University, Chico, and is recognized for his contributions in education and athletics.

Caroline DeWitt

Caroline DeWitt serves as Chief Legal Officer and Board Chair for Greene and Hemly Inc., her family’s 175-year-old apple and pear farming business in the Sacramento River Delta. She also sits on the board of The Thornton Foundation, which supports education and environmental causes. Before joining the family business, Caroline was Vice President of Legal Affairs at Twentieth Century Fox and worked as an environmental lawyer in both private practice and legislative policy.

Caroline holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from American University. She and her husband, Ken, live in Los Angeles and are proud parents of two children, including Thomas (Dunn Class of 2026).

Brian McWilliams '84

Brian McWilliams has served as Head of School for Santa Barbara Middle School (SBMS) since 2009, leading transformative efforts that have doubled enrollment, fundraising, and annual revenue. His leadership also established SBMS’s permanent home, redesigned the academic program, and launched innovative outdoor education initiatives. A dedicated teacher, Brian has taught World History and Philosophy since 1997 and led over 150 multi-day expeditions.

A proud Dunn School alumnus, Brian holds a BA in International Relations and Latin American Studies from Lewis and Clark College. He is passionate about experiential education, family, and supporting local non-profits.

Jodi Pitts

Jodi and her husband Sean reside in Santa Ynez with their children, Gracie (Class of 2026) and Davey. After earning a marketing degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Jodi worked in PR for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in New York. Currently a director at Colony Capital, she oversees their annual investor conference. Passionate about the Santa Ynez Valley, Jodi co-owns Happy Canyon Vineyard with Sean, who serves as executive winemaker. She finds great joy in contributing to the Dunn community as a trustee.

Maria Zhang

Maria Zhang is Vice President of Engineering at Google, previously serving in the same role at Instagram and LinkedIn Talent Solutions (LTS) and Careers. She also held the CTO position at Tinder and managed engineering teams at Yahoo Mobile, Microsoft, Zillow.com, and NetIQ Corp. Maria founded Alike, a mobile local recommendation app acquired by Yahoo. She holds degrees in Computer Science from Tsinghua University and Eastern Michigan University.
