We believe that good food is an essential part of our community. Nestled in one of the nation’s most fertile agricultural areas, we are fortunate to enjoy fresh, locally-sourced cuisine that is diverse, environmentally sustainable, and delicious.

Our kitchen, operated by Flik Independent School Dining, follows the mantra: Eat. Learn. Live. Under the expert guidance of Chef Nicole Ornelaz, our team prepares wholesome, nutritious meals from local ingredients whenever possible. We provide three meals a day that cater to a variety of tastes and dietary needs.

A Commitment to Nutrition and Sustainability

We offer vegan and vegetarian options daily, and our menus reflect the bounty of each season. Our nutrition specialist is available to review menus, consult on individual eating habits, and provide nutrition education, ensuring our students make informed choices about their diets.

Our commitment to quality means we prepare foods from whole, fresh ingredients, minimizing the use of processed foods and avoiding artificial flavorings, MSG, preservatives, and high levels of sodium. A variety of fruits and vegetables are offered daily, sourced from local farmers who practice sustainable farming methods.

Beverage Options and Sustainable Seafood

To support healthy hydration, we provide 100% fruit juice, low-fat milk, and water daily. Our seafood is purchased in accordance with the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch guidelines for sustainability, ensuring our practices align with our environmental values.
