The language arts curriculum involves a three-year program integrating thinking, listening, speaking, language, reading, and writing skills.

Language arts and social studies coordinate their themes of ancient civilizations, American studies, and world history.

Students learn through reading journals, writing groups, acting, cooperative projects, discussions, and other creative activities. Each student builds strength in vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, punctuation and usage skills. Student work is published in the Meridian, our school's art and literary magazine.

I'm amazed at everything my daughter does every day at Dunn Middle School.
