Dunn School Admissions Video Wins 4 American Advertising Federation "Addys"
Dunn School's Admissions Video Dunn School - More Than a Classroom won two Gold American Advertising Federation California Coastal branch "Addys" - one for film/video branded content and one for cinematography, as well as one Silver Addy for video editing. The school also beat out numerous media savvy competitors such as Appfolio and political campaigns to garner the Gold Special Judges Award, which is awarded to an ad campaign that deserves special recognition.
The video was filmed in late 2020 at the height of the pandemic with the aim of showcasing Dunn School's mission to educate the whole student to their fullest potential and to reassure prospective parents and families that "while the rest of the world plays catch up, we're moving forward." The idea behind the video was birthed by the admissions and marketing committees working with Dunn alum and board member Justin Ching '07 who is a filmmaker and Forbes 30 under 30 recipient. Justin and his crew spent 3 days on campus shooting the video with the participation of many faculty members and students.
The video will now move on to the AAF District 15 competition.
The video was the result of hard work from the entire community of faculty, staff, students, and one dog and reflects the spirit and tenacity with which the community has successfully forged through the pandemic.
