Youth for Direct Relief, a new club to raise awareness about Direct Relief's work in global and domestic health and disaster relief, stopped by the Direct Relief headquarters in Goleta this week to deliver checks for two different fundraisers held during the fall semester. With the help of Rudy's Fresh Mexican Restaurant, the club held a dinnertime fundraiser in November which raised $220 for disaster relief following the tsunami in Indonesia.

This year's service project takes Dunn students back to the small town of Parksdale, northwest of Fresno, where Dunn partners with a nonprofit called Self Help Enterprises, which brings together ten, low-income families, mostly agricultural workers, and builds ten houses in ten months.
