Day Camps

Let’s make music together! This camp allows each student to explore musical instruments according to their interests. In addition, students will have the opportunity to show their strength and what they have learned with an instrument of choice by preparing a solo, duet, or band performance for all of the campers at the end of the session 2 camp! This camp is ideal for rising 4th-9th graders.

Embark on an immersive STEM journey with our Hands-On Projects! Igniting the spark of curiosity, this two week-long adventure promises an exhilarating lineup of hands-on activities, innovative projects, and collaborative builds. Campers will design and construct their own build project, and test it! Participants will actively apply STEM principles in a fun and creative environment including a marine bio field trip. This camp has been arranged for rising 4th-7th grade students.

Unlock the thrill of precision and focus at Archery Camp, a two-week journey designed for budding archers and enthusiasts! From mastering the basics of stance and aim to honing advanced techniques, participants will experience the joy of archery in a safe and supportive environment. Our skilled instructor will guide campers through hands-on lessons, fun games, and friendly competitions that cater to all skill levels. With provided equipment and a scenic outdoor range, participants will develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for this ancient and exhilarating sport. This camp has been arranged for rising 4th-7th grade students.

Embark on a dynamic journey of learning and creativity for innovative young entrepreneurs.  All learners will love experimenting with entrepreneurship, math, and science through games. This innovative two-week program gives campers an opportunity to build, create and launch their own business plan within two weeks! Also, campers will build, create and engage in hands-on rocket launch, and science lab activities that make math, chemistry, and physics come alive and indulge in strategic and fun-filled games that enhance critical thinking skills. This camp has been arranged for rising 4th-8th grade students.

Tailored for athletes of all skill levels, this camp offers a diverse lineup of sports and activities that will keep kids engaged, active, and having a blast throughout the entire duration. From soccer to basketball, tennis to volleyball, and everything in between, participants will receive coaching and guidance in a supportive and inclusive environment. Each sport feature will allow campers to enhance their skills, build teamwork, and develop a love for a variety of athletic pursuits. Beyond the field, our camp also includes team-building games, recreational activities. This camp has been arranged for rising 4th-9th grade students.

Guided by a passionate Dungeon Master, campers will weave intricate tales, create unforgettable characters, and navigate thrilling campaigns that challenge both wits and teamwork. From character creation workshops to epic battles in mythical realms, this camp fosters creativity, problem-solving, and camaraderie. This camp has been arranged for rising 6th grade students and above.

This engaging and enriching camp is designed for budding ceramic enthusiasts eager to explore the exciting world of pottery. Under the guidance of a skilled potter, campers will learn the fundamentals of hand-building techniques, and glazing, transforming lumps of clay into unique, personalized creations. The camp fosters a creative and supportive environment where participants can experiment with various forms, textures, and designs, enhancing both their artistic skills and self-expression. From crafting functional pottery to sculpting imaginative figurines, each day promises a new and exciting project. This camp has been arranged for rising 7th-12th grade students.

Embark on an artistic adventure at our Art Fusion Day Camp, where young creators explore the world of mixed media to bring their imagination to life! This camp is a vibrant fusion of colors, textures, and techniques, designed to inspire campers to express themselves through a variety of artistic mediums. Led by a talented and passionate Dunn School Art teacher, participants will experiment with painting, drawing, collage, and more, discovering the exciting possibilities that arise when combining various materials. Campers will engage in projects that encourage self-expression, creativity, and individuality, fostering an appreciation for the diverse forms of artistic expression. From creating 3D masterpieces to experimenting with unconventional materials, Art Fusion Day Camp promises a summer of exploration, innovation, and a canvas full of memories. This camp has been arranged for two age groups, session 2 will serve rising 4th-8th graders, session 3 will serve rising 6th grade and up.

Embark on a thrilling journey into the world of critter care during our Animal Care Day Camp. This camp is tailor-made for animal enthusiasts who dream of spending their summer surrounded by furry, feathered, and finned friends. Under the guidance of experienced animal care professionals, campers will learn the fundamentals of responsible pet ownership, explore various animal habitats, and engage in hands-on activities to nurture a deeper understanding of our diverse animal kingdom. From grooming and feeding sessions to wildlife observation and interactive learning, participants will develop empathy, responsibility, and a passion for animals big and small. Special guest visits from local veterinarians and animal experts will provide campers with unique insights into the world of animal care. This camp has been arranged for rising 4th-8th grade students.

Join us for a summer of outdoor excitement at our Ancestral Arts and Skills Camp! This camp is perfect for adventurous students who love nature and creating amazing and useful things with natural materials. This is a 2-week nature skill-building class which can involve; learning to make natural cordage, fire by friction, spoon carving, gourd bowl making, pine nut necklaces, basket weaving, creating tools from stones and bones, cattail crafts and active nature awareness games. We'll also be heading out on a couple of immersive day-long hikes, learning basic plant identification, orienteering and wayfinding, food and medicine foraging, and stalking, tracking and identifying animal signs. Our experienced mentor will foster an understanding for what it takes to survive and thrive in the wild. This camp has been arranged for rising 6th-9th grade students.

This physical fitness camp covers the following,

1. proper movement form on exercises 

2. Appropriate exercise selection for specific athletes

3. Ways to progress or regress exercises, sets, reps for specific goals 

4. Basic nutritional advice for health and/ or performance for sport

5. Proper ways to track training performance 

Weight training is appropriate for rising 7th graders and up.

Embark on a transformative journey into leadership and mentorship at our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Camp, tailor-made for motivated students in 8th grade and up! This empowering program is designed to nurture the leadership potential of young individuals by providing hands-on experience in camp counseling and group facilitation. CITs will engage in comprehensive training sessions covering communication skills, conflict resolution, program planning, and the art of fostering a positive and inclusive camp environment. Under the mentorship of experienced camp leaders, participants will actively assist in organizing activities, guiding younger campers, and developing the essential skills needed to become confident and effective leaders. Beyond leadership training, the program will include team-building exercises, leadership challenges, and opportunities for self-reflection. Join us for a summer of personal growth, skill development, and the chance to make a positive impact on the camp community. Rising 8th graders and above are eligible to participate. Students must participate as a CIT in order to be eligible to become a paid camp counselor in future sessions.

Calling all future designers and eco-warriors! Get ready to transform pre-loved clothes into statement pieces in this exciting 2-week summer day camp.

This racquet sport day camp offers something for any skill level to build hand eye coordination, fundamentals, and fun with friends to refine skills for a mini-tournament at the end of camp! Campers should arrive daily with pre-applied sunscreen, sturdy tennis shoes, their own tennis racquet and swimsuits. This camp is ideal for rising 6th-grade to rising 9th-grade students.

This class runs one week from July 8-12.

Time: 9 a.m.-11 a.m.

During this one-week cooking course, students will be able to plan, prep, cook, and eat with Dunn's very own Chef Nicole! Students will prepare for college and life by learning how to plan meals and follow a recipe, all while having fun with their friends. 

This camp runs June 17-21.

This one-week basketball fun-damental camp really puts the emphasis on fun while learning to dribble, shoot, and pass. Any and all skill levels are welcome for students who are incoming 1st-graders to incoming 5th-graders.
