Day Camps

For Incoming 7th–11th Graders

Start the school year strong! This camp is designed for students who want to sharpen their academic skills and build confidence before heading back to class in the fall. With a focus on reading, writing, math, and executive functioning, campers will get the tools they need to tackle the year ahead.

At the beginning of camp, each student will partner with their teacher to set 3–5 personalized goals. Through a blend of small group work, peer collaboration, and individual coaching, campers will strengthen key academic skills and develop strategies for staying organized, managing time, and approaching challenges with confidence.

Sample Schedule: 9 am- Math; 10:10 am- Writing Skills; 11:20 am- Reading Fluency; 12:30 pm- Lunch; 1:15 pm- Executive Functioning Skills; 2:15 pm -Pool; 3:00 pm Pickup. 

But it’s not all work! Campers will enjoy a lively, supportive environment that includes teamwork, new friendships, and even a refreshing jump in the pool at the end of the day.

Embark on an immersive STEM journey with our Hands-On Projects! Igniting the spark of curiosity, this two-week-long adventure promises an exhilarating lineup of hands-on activities, innovative projects, and collaborative builds. Campers will design and construct their own build project, and test it! Participants will actively apply STEM principles in a fun and creative environment including a marine bio field trip.

Embark on an artistic adventure at our Art Fusion Day Camp, where young creators explore the world of mixed media to bring their imagination to life! This camp is a vibrant fusion of colors, textures, and techniques, designed to inspire campers to express themselves through a variety of artistic mediums. Led by a talented and passionate Dunn School Art teacher, participants will experiment with painting, drawing, collage, and more, discovering the exciting possibilities that arise when combining various materials. Campers will engage in projects that encourage self-expression, creativity, and individuality, fostering an appreciation for the diverse forms of artistic expression. From creating 3D masterpieces to experimenting with unconventional materials, Art Fusion Day Camp promises a summer of exploration, innovation, and a canvas full of memories.

Tailored for athletes of all skill levels, this camp offers a diverse lineup of sports and activities that will keep kids engaged, active, and having a blast throughout the entire duration. From soccer to basketball, tennis to volleyball, and everything in between, participants will receive coaching and guidance in a supportive and inclusive environment. Each sport feature will allow campers to enhance their skills, build teamwork, and develop a love for a variety of athletic pursuits. Beyond the field, our camp also includes team-building games, recreational activities.

Embark on an epic quest of imagination and strategy at our Dungeon Masters' Realm - a Dungeons & Dragons Camp! This immersive experience invites aspiring adventurers and seasoned players alike to delve into the fantastical world of dungeons, dragons, and endless possibilities. Guided by a passionate Dungeon Master, campers will weave intricate tales, create unforgettable characters, and navigate thrilling campaigns that challenge both wits and teamwork. From character creation workshops to epic battles in mythical realms, this camp fosters creativity, problem-solving, and camaraderie. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a newcomer to the realms of tabletop role-playing, Dungeon Masters' Realm promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of fantasy.

Unleash the inner creative spark during this two-week creativity workshop combining dance & body movement, rhythm & music, games, and other artistic expressions. This workshop is a mashup designed to fuel the creative fire within.

Row with us on the beautiful Lake Cachuma this summer! Santa Barbara Community Rowing is leading this two-week learn-to-row camp, suitable for beginners. Campers will learn the basic rowing stroke, plus improve balance and technique while also improving fitness on and off the water. Each day will conclude with a classroom session discussing topics such as: stretching and mobility, weightlifting, nutrition, video analysis of rowing technique, and rowing in college. Please note the additional fee for renting the boats at this camp. Transportation to and from Cachuma Lake is provided. This camp has an 8:15 a.m. start time at Dunn School. This camp is ideal for kids going into 6th grade (11+) and up. Like our other camp offerings, this camp spends the afternoons swimming on campus. Campers must know how to swim and be able to carry equipment to and from the dock.

Let’s make music together! This camp allows each student to explore musical instruments according to their interests. In addition, students will have the opportunity to show their strength and what they have learned with an instrument of choice by preparing a solo, duet, or band performance for all of the campers at the end of the camp session!
