Facilities Rental
Dunn School opens its campus to select residential groups for a few weeks each summer. Various facilities are also available for rental during school breaks, such as November Break, Winter Break, February Bread, and Spring Break.
Location
Dunn’s campus sits on 55 acres, with charming ranch-style buildings, green playing fields, and grand oak trees on California's central coast. Just thirty minutes north of Santa Barbara, Dunn School is nestled between magnificent mountain views and the Pacific Ocean.
Facilities and Lodging
Resident groups reside in attractive dorms in the heart of campus. Participants stay in single and double occupancy rooms. Rooms are furnished with beds, shelves, desks, and a closet. Each dorm includes a full kitchen, comfortable lounge with fireplace and TV, and laundry.
The California sunshine is a backdrop for outdoor sports and activities. Resident groups may enjoy using six tennis courts, four athletic fields, an outdoor pool, gymnasium, climbing wall, sand volleyball courts, and basketball courts (indoor and outdoor). Additional facilities include a library, a rustic performing arts theater, ceramics studio, and outdoor assembly area.
Food Service
Meals are prepared by professional chefs and are served cafeteria-style. Breakfast includes hot options, a cereal bar, and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner include hot meals and sides; lunch is complemented by a seasonal salad bar. Most special diets are accommodated with prior notice.

Gymnasium, Climbing Wall and Weight Room
The Gymnasium is home to the Earwigs Volleyball & Basketball teams, is flanked by a weight room and cardio facility, and houses a state-of-the-art climbing wall. Approximately 30% of the school's electricity needs will be met by newly-installed solar panels on the roof.
The Schoolhouse
Most music classes take place in the historic Schoolhouse at the center of campus. The Schoolhouse is equipped with practice rooms, pianos, guitars, drums and many other instruments, as well as a state-of-the-art digital recording facility. Aside from its academic functions, the Schoolhouse is a wonderful aesthetic and acoustic space for musical performances by any of the various student ensembles.
Dining Hall
A Green-Certified Flik kitchen that specializes in farm-to-table cuisine. Students can choose to eat inside the cozy dining hall or outside under the oak trees at the picnic table all year long.
The Dean's Office
The Dean's Office is home to the Dean of Students, Assistant Dean/Outdoor Ed Director, and the Director of Student Activities. All aspects of Student Life at Dunn School are managed from these three offices. Students congregate around the Dean's Office for thrilling games of spike ball, ping pong, and badminton.
