At Dunn School, Winter Term is an extraordinary exploratory period that bridges November Break and Winter Break, offering students a chance to immerse themselves in intensive academic and physical experiences. Whether students remain on campus or embark on global journeys, the goal is to delve deeply into a focused topic, often igniting passions that extend well beyond their time at Dunn.

Led by our dedicated faculty and staff, and enriched by guest speakers and presenters, this program encourages students to explore, discover, and transform both within our community and beyond.

The culmination of Winter Term is the Expo, where students proudly share their projects and experiences with the Dunn community. In 2023, highlights included:
- Rock Climbing: Students scaled heights to take in breathtaking vistas.
- Ancient Metal Craft: Hands-on learning with molten metal to create historical artifacts.
- Outdoor Adventure in Belize: Immersed in the natural beauty and wildlife of Belize.
- Sri Lanka Experience: Visited cultural sites and attended a conference at the Embassy.
- Homelessness Awareness: Tackled local issues by working with organizations combating food insecurity and housing crises.
- Art and Construction Projects: Enhanced our campus with stunning art installations and a mini soccer arena.
- Internships: Gained real-world experience with professionals, including at Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty.
