Youth for Direct Relief, a new club to raise awareness about Direct Relief's work in global and domestic health and disaster relief, stopped by the Direct Relief headquarters in Goleta this week to deliver checks for two different fundraisers held during the fall semester. With the help of Rudy's Fresh Mexican Restaurant, the club held a dinnertime fundraiser in November which raised $220 for disaster relief following the tsunami in Indonesia.

In December, the club sold and stuffed holiday stockings on campus, which raised $670 to help with the California fires relief efforts. During the fires, the NGO helped with masks, medicine, necessity kits for displaced families, and more in the affected areas.

Stay tuned for another opportunity to help with the club's efforts this year!
